Wherever you are in Thailand, you first need to get to Koh Phangan. Either by flying to one of the nearby airports, Samui or Surathani Airport.
Flights :
Koh Phangan does not have an airport, so if you want to fly you need to get a flight to the sister Island Koh Samui or the mainland Surathani. Flights to Koh Samui are daily from Bangkok, Phuket, Chang Mai and many more cities across Asia from Bangkok Airways.
If you fly to Surathani, the mainland Thailand, you would need to get a bus the main Donsak pier and then a boat to Koh Phangan.
Buses
Buses operate all over Thailand, so where ever you are the local bus stations have bus services to Surathani.
Many bus services offer all in one ticket, bus and boat to Koh Phangan.
Once you are in Samui you can get a ferry service across to Koh Phangan.
